Amanda is a licensed professional counselor at Riverside Counseling Center and a school counselor with Loudoun County Public Schools. She enjoys working with children, teens, adults and families seeking help with anxiety and performance challenges at school or work. She is experienced in working with autism, emotional regulation disorders, and depression.

Amanda George is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience supporting children, teens, and families through compassionate, evidence-based care. In addition to her eight years at Riverside Counseling, she also served eleven years as a school counselor in Loudoun County, giving her a deep understanding of school systems and a unique ability to collaborate effectively with educators and support staff to advocate for students' mental health needs.


Amanda specializes in treating anxiety disorders in children and teens and is a certified provider of the *Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE)* protocol. She also holds certification in ADHD treatment and works with clients across all age groups, including adults.


In her work with adults, Amanda provides support for managing anxiety, navigating life transitions, improving communication skills, and fostering emotional resilience. She is especially passionate about parent coaching, equipping caregivers with practical mental health tools to better support their children and teens.


Additionally, Amanda is a former certified MANDT System trainer, giving her a strong foundation in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques for individuals experiencing emotional or behavioral distress that may pose a risk of harm to themselves or others.
