Donald Hall, MD is a graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his psychiatric internship and residency training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. He has participated in medical research at the National Institute of Health and Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Hall was awarded the American Psychiatric Association’s resident research award for his investigation and reports on mood cycles in depression.
Before entering private practice, Dr. Hall served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. He also served as the Chief of Outpatient Psychiatry Services at Walter Reed, AMC and Division Psychiatrist for the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division.
Dr. Hall is an author of the Handbook of Psychiatric Drugs and numerous articles on depression and adjustment to stress. His research has been published in the Journal of the American Medical Association and the American Journal of Psychiatry. His latest book, Breaking Through Depression, is in its second printing.
In 2016, Dr. Hall was selected as a top doctor by the International Association of Healthcare Professionals and he was recognized in the “Who’s Who – Top Doctors Honors Edition.” Presently, he serves as the practice manager of Riverside Counseling Center.
Dr. Hall works in close collaboration with our psychiatric nurse practitioners to ensure that the highest quality of care is provided to the women, men, and children who entrust their mental health care to the staff of Riverside Counseling Center.
