A Faith-Based Counseling Option 

For those who seek to develop their faith as part of emotional renewal, we offer faith-based counelsing.

Not all Riverside counselors offer faith-based counseling.

Ask the receptionist or check the list of counselors below to find the counselor who may best meet your needs.

Faith-Based Counseling Staff           
    
Riverside Counseling serves clients with varied spiritual and non-spiritual beliefs. Counselors and psychiatrists who participate in this service include Christian counseling only when specifically requested by clients.  Otherwise, therapists practice traditional psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy, and psychiatrists focus on symptom relief through medical and psychological approaches.                              
    
The Faith-Based Counseling Service is an important part of Riverside Counseling Center’s mission.  This form of counseling is offered to those who seek Christ-centered therapy as part of recovery. For Christians who seek support of their spiritual beliefs as part of counseling, they should make an appointment with one of the faith-based counselors listed below:
   
Donald Hall, M.D.  Dr. Hall is a graduate of Georgetown University Medical School.  He is board-certified in psychiatry and has twenty-two years of experience in counseling and medication management.  He is the author of Breaking Through Depression: A Biblical and Medical Approach to Emotional Wholeness and has appeared on Janet Parshall’s America,  Moody’s Mid-day Connection, and the Paula White Show.       
      
Gregory Law, MD.  Dr. Law is a graduate of George Washington Medical School and has been practicing child and adult psychiatry for twenty years.  He is board-certified in both child and adult psychiatry.   
    
Pam Massaneillo, LPC.  Pam obtained her Masters Degreee from Reagent University and has prior experience working with Cornerstone Familiy Counseling in Fairfax, VA
 
Jane Risoleo, LPC.   Jane has earned two Masters Degrees (clinical counseling and forensic psychology) from Marymoint University.  She served as Clinical Director for North Spring Hospital is Leesburg before joining Riverside   
 
Katherine Satterfield, M.Ed., LPC. Katherine is a counselor at Riverside, specializing in positive psychology and resilience training.
 
Timothy Teague, M.Div., PhD, LPC.  Tim earned his Masters Degree and PhD (pastoral counseling) from Southwestern Baptist Seminary.  He has over twenty years of counseling experience in the areas of family and marriage relationships.     
    
Dan Towery, Th.M., LPC.  Dan has earned two Masters Degrees from Dallas Thelogical Seminary and Liberty University.  He had over twenty years of experience as a local pastor before becoming licensed as a mental health counselor..     
     
Margaret Zaepfel, LCSW provides counseling to children and adults at Riverside.  Her specialties include work with couples dealing with adoption issues.
